I finally have a design for my would-be Sailor Eris. Eris *was* supposed to be the woman who became Queen Beryl. If Beryl had been allowed to stay with her family and train, this is how she would have looked. I'll get her biography up eventually.

Eris as a senshi has the element of metal and the influence of discord, to coincide with her mythological counterpart. She has the Seer Sight Axe, which is a battle axe with an apple motif (get it?) Her attacks work in close harmony with those of Saturn and feature confusion and melee-style battling.

Eris has the black hair of her manga design, which is irrevocably altered to bright red after she becomes Beryl. I chose brown and orange as her colors since no other senshi has orange as a secondary color, and brown was the only color I could come up with which isn't used by a canon senshi. As well, brown can be a color of metal, and discord seems like it could be brown. Mud is brown and it causes clumsiness. Furthermore, her color scheme is monochromatic (as brown is darkened orange), which makes her match Mercury, Neptune, and some versions of Saturn.

She follows the Outer Senshi uniform deviance, as Eris is a trans-Neptunian object and would have been an Outer (to counteract Sailor Muse in the Inners). Her gloves are as short as Neptune and Uranus'. She shares their lack of collar stripes and sleeve roll number.

Her boots, choker, and earrings are unique, similar to the other Outer senshi's unique bits. Her earrings and choker are white quartz, which is said to have mystical properties. These match those she chose as Beryl. I'm tempted to make them clear beryl, but I think that might be a bit much.

Her boot length was decided because three non-moon senshi have boots, three senshi have Mary Jane-like shoes, and two have short boots. With Eris, there are three short boot senshi, excluding moon or other original senshi.

Eris also has a snood, or hair net, with which she binds her long hair. In this way, there are three senshi with very long hair, three senshi with short hair, and three senshi with short or short-appearing hair (including Eris). Similar to Venus' bow, Eris' snood is a integral part of her uniform. This neato idea was totally inspired by .

I think I might use this design as the new Eris, who might take on the Eris title if Yuriko chooses to give up her claim. Who that might be is still being decided.
