Here's a belated character I created for a contest over at #Moon-crack-ers. The contest is over, but I like the character. Keiko is the daughter of Minako Aino and Cooan Ayakashi, and is from my Pluto Mask universe. Her story is a bit in-depth, so here goes.

Minako had long wondered if she was truly straight. After debating for years, she finally took the matter into her own hands. Using the Moon Compact from her days as Sailor V, Minako turned herself into a man for a few days to try and see if prejudice was the only thing holding her back.

However, the Compact malfunctioned (or not) and turned her into a man indefinitely. Despite despair at knowing she may not be able to turn back into a woman--as she was perfectly happy with her gender--Minako took the opportunity to explore who she was without fear of being discriminated against.

Now, the Ayakashi sisters were still good friends of the senshi. Cooan and Minako in particular had become close, because they shared several interests: clothes, cosmetics, games, and sports. It was in fact Minako's growing feelings for the dark fire sister that set her to transform.

Since the sisters knew who the senshi were, they weren't too shocked to see Minako's transformed form. Cooan found herself not only deeper in love with Minako's personality (as she too had feelings for the other girl) but was very attracted to Minako's male self. They eventually talked about this and started dating.

The two continued to be happy for some time, even with their complications thoroughly examined. Minako learned she was in fact mostly homosexual. Cooan was mostly heterosexual, and didn't know if she could be with Minako as a woman. This soon became an issue.

Before so, however, the two had consummated their relationship. Cooan became pregnant, and after several months of dating, the power of the Compact faded and Minako turned back into a woman. Cooan still loved Minako's spirit, and found Minako was "the only one" female that Cooan was attracted to. Still, she was afraid to admit this, and the two parted amicably.

Soon after, the sisters went back to the future when it was safe for them to do so. They missed their home, and Minako didn't make Cooan stay in the past. She knew she would see her daughter in the future, though she missed them both terribly. In the meantime, she and Seiya Kou began a relationship.

About the same time that the sisters returned in the thirtieth century, Minako's daughter with Seiya was about the equivalent of ten. When Cooan and Minako met up again, Cooan admitted she had been afraid to love Minako in the past surrounded by discrimination. Now, Minako loved Seiya, but she still loved Cooan very much.

Although Minako herself agonized over what to do, Seiya came up with a solution. The star senshi explained that in her galaxy, group marriages were common due to low populations and more liberal ideas about love. Although it was odd at first, soon the three were happily living together as a trio.

Seiya spends a part of her time male for Cooan, and Cooan loves Seiya in either form (though she's only attracted to Seiya's male form). Minako is the only woman Cooan is attracted to physically. Minako and Seiya love and are attracted to Cooan and each other as women. Although jealousy and such does trouble them occasionally, each member of the trio loves the others almost equally.

Keiko is a very cheerful child, but spoiled. Her mother is the first to have a child of her sisters, so she's doted on a lot by her many aunts, senshi included. As well, Keiko is vain, taking after her mother in that regard as well. However, she's young enough yet and has enough gentle influences in her life that she's not ruined, just a little difficult to handle.

The girl has golden-blond hair like her "father," but dark-purple eyes like Cooan. Her bow is purple, and is tied in such a way as to look like cat ears--like Cooan's hair. Other touches of her parents are her bangs, her treasured headband, and her Venus slippers. Keiko loves frills and lace, as well as games and sports.

Keiko is the future Sailor Venus, though she hasn't yet begun training. She will protect ChibiUsa's daughter Cho, since Usa has the Amazon Quartet and the senshi didn't begin having children until ChibiUsa was almost of age. Don't ask me to explain the timeline for this. XD

Oooh, I prefer the "Cooan realises that love can transcend gender, and although she's not homosexual or bi, she find that she is still attracted to Minako when she puts her bias towards gender aside because she loves her, soul AND body!" It's my favourite "deus ex machina" (in a very loose sense, because I don't think it's that much of a cop-out) when it comes to these types of couples, and I have read it done very well. :D

That aside, OMGADORABLECRACKBABY! :la: She looks totally cute, I love her hair! :D
